Both Seiken Densetsu games do contain Ito, yes. Seiken Densetsu DS: Children of Mana is composed by Ito, with help of Aihara and Iwata, while Seiken Densetsu 4 is composed solely (as far as we know) by Ito.

For me, I'm looking out for FFXII (it's Sakimoto!), Tales of the Abyss (meh, I heard good things ) and another kickass Ys or Falcom OST like the awesomeness of Felghana <3 Rock on!

How the heck did I miss the announcement that SD4 is Ito?  When did that announcement happen?  Is it confirmed?  O.o

Some of the 2006 OSTs I was looking forward to came out in January, and I just haven't taken delivery of it yet.  Outside of that stuff, I guess I'm looking forward to hearing music from (only two of these have announced soundtracks so far, hopefully they'll all get soundtracks sooner or later):

I'm assuming future Rockman games will all get the OST treatment, especially most RM and RMX games have had CD releases over the past few years. I'm hoping for Rockman Rockman and Irregular Hunter X as well... maybe they'll wait until IR2 hits so there can be a double-CD set, like EXE 4&5 perhaps?

Nice list!  Pleasantly surprised to see Kirby in there; I heard some music from it in one of the trailers, and it was great.  Here's to hoping it can at least match up with the excellent Kirby Air Ride score (the Business Trip album did it no justice).

Also, Hiroshi Tamawari. If that Vandal Hearts DS came out this year with a Tamawari score, it would rock my world.

FF12, on the other hand, I'm not really expecting. As a Sakimoto fan, everything I've heard of FF12's music has seemed either bad or lacklustre, so I'm expecting the FF12 soundtrack to be pretty bad too. No Nobuo but no Vagrant Story either. Glad that we're finally getting a reprint of VS.

Suikoden V now, it's going to be huge. 4 discs of Norikazu Miura. If he can put together the best of Suikoden IV and Rhapsodia, it'll be absolutely awesome. And with four discs, I don't think the tracks are going to be too short like on the Suikoden IV OST. Also, there's the Suikoden IV arrange this month, but I don't think it's going to be very good.

As for more generally, I hope there will be more Katamari-style music, which is a kind of contradiction, but what I mean is that there would be more daring, quirky and personal VGM. Also, more orchestral like Wanda and the Colossus and Kameo.

There was a lot of good stuff in January already, and it looks like it could be a good VGM year.

Yeah, it'd be cool to see him come back, Gungage-style. Most people seem to like him more for his work on Shin Contra though.

I second that! I'd be happy if they just released an official Neo Contra OST, it's a bloody shame that this awesome soundtrack remains unreleased. Since Lament of Innocence's soundtrack (for example) didn't get released until 2 years after the game's release, I'm somehow hoping that the Neo Contra OST might still come, but... It's probably unlikely. Damnit.

New stuff by Fujimori would also be welcome.

Other than that, what I look forward to the most is no doubt the Devil Summoner: Kuzunoha Raidou OST. Megami Tensei music has never disappointed me in the past: I doubt this will do so.

I disagree, I think most of the FF12 music heard so far is on par with FFT's and VS's best, some of them even better. (such as the Phon Coast theme in the demo)
If the full OST is of that quality and maybe even better, I expect it to be my favorite FF OST since FF9, maybe even FF8 if there are some amazing tracks on it.
