When it comes to listening/hearing Final Fantasy soundtracks I'm a bit behind. I haven't heard anything past X outside a few key tracks.

Anyway, earlier tonight I ran across a used copy of the Final Fantasy XIII-2 Collector's Edition at a gamestop for $20 and I just had to nab it. I checked the discs before buying and they looked really good and it was complete w/all components. I figured that's about what... $10 for the game and $10 for a four disc soundtrack...? I couldn't imagine passing that up. What price did this debut for anyway?

I'm not too familiar with Masashi Hamauzu's works beyond SaGa Frontier 2 or FFX or Naoshi Mizuta beyond 4 Heroes.

What tracks would you suggest or what's your opinion overall? I haven't even played though the XIII trilogy yet so I probably won't get to the game until I go back and get the first one.

Also, the only track I've heard prior to buying this was "Crazy Chocobo" so some will probably consider me deprived.

Okay... wow! This was nowhere what I was expecting out of a FF soundtrack.

Not to sound insulting but without playing the actual game this is going to take some time to digest.

It works a lot better in the game than standalone, though some of it still can't be salvaged...

You forgot Crazy Chocobo man. ANd yes, Yeul's Theme is one of the greatest vocal pieces in game music.
