here's the next thread for (notable?) album releases in August 2012. This time I'm not differentiating between video game and anime releases.

The stuff I'm (personally) looking forward to:

WPCL-11194 | Rurouni Kenshin OST (I was kinda disappointed with Sato's work on BLOOD-C, hopefully this one is better)
SQEX-10321 | Secret of Mana Genesis / Seiken Densetsu 2 Arrange Album (the second Seiken Densetsu arrange album, Kikuta upgrades the SD2 score)
PCCA-03645 | Luxendarc Shoukikou / Linked Horizon (first mini-album for Bravely Default by Sound Horizon's Revo)
GFCA-321 | Metal Gear 25th Anniversary ~ Metal Gear Music Collection (anniversary arrange album for the Metal Gear series, not much known at the moment)
AQMC-009 | WHITE ALBUM2 OST ~setsuna~ (third (and probably last?) album for WHITE ALBUM 2, this time purely vocal)
ANSB-3185~6 | Persona Music Live 2012 -MAYONAKA TV in Tokyo International Forum- (latest Persona live performance)
N/A | BLACK WOLVES SAGA -Bloody Nightmare- Song collection "Dear Despair" (samples for the OST sound promising, looks like people from Procyon Studio are involved)
ZMXZ-7873 | Dusk maiden of Amnesia Soundtrack 1 (Keigo Hoashi and Ryuichi Takada from MONACA)

SBPS-0016~8 | Shin Hikari Shinwa Palutena no Kagami Original Soundtrack (I could never really get into the music of the sampler, too inconsistent in style for my taste)

PCCG-01297 | Fairy Tail -HOUOU NO MIKO- OST (I don't like Fairy Tail, but Takanashi is very skilled nonetheless ("Toward the Terra" e.g.))

SVWC-7884 | Persona 4: The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena OST (might move to the top list if certain other people from ATLUS are involved...)

I have only preordered the SD2 arrange at the moment. Might also get the BWS song album, depending on how it turns out. The Metal Gear one also looks interesting, but there's just too few info about it at the moment.

i have the two Re:Birth SD2 and Romancing SaGa discs preordered.  Looking forward to those.

Seiken Densetsu 2 Arrange Album, nice. i might get that one if it turns out well.

The two Rockman arrange album suddenly became interesting for me. But their release date was moved to October, so they're going to pop up in the corresponding thread. *removing here*

i get so excited about a remaster of a 20 year old SNES soundtrack, yet i get so disgusted when hearing about a remake of a 20 year old movie.

Some comments on the album which I've listened to already:

WPCL-11194 | Rurouni Kenshin OST: Like BLOOD-C, this didn't really succeed in convincing me. But in the process I found some other scores by Naoki Sato, which I'm very much enjoying at the moment: Carnation Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 (scores to a TV series), real good stuff

SQEX-10321 | Secret of Mana Genesis / Seiken Densetsu 2 Arrange Album: I'm still amazed about the "shitstorm" that hit this album. My only real complaint is the length, a full length (2 disc preferrably) album with upgraded synth would've been nicer.

GFCA-321 | Metal Gear 25th Anniversary ~ Metal Gear Music Collection: Now this is something. Well, at least the tracks that are actually new. Track 7, the Peace Walker medley, is absolutely gorgeous (referencing Heavens Divide, amazing even without Donna Burke's vocals). @Konami: Let Nobuko Toda do a full-length album with the Prague philharmonic orchestra

N/A | BLACK WOLVES SAGA -Bloody Nightmare- Song collection "Dear Despair": Not my cup of tea, but I'm still waiting for the OST album.

ZMXZ-7873 | Dusk maiden of Amnesia Soundtrack 1: Doesn't work for outside of the anime.

SBPS-0016~8 | Shin Hikari Shinwa Palutena no Kagami Original Soundtrack: I think I can now put down why I don't like this one: It has too much Sakuraba and Koshiro... and probably Takada.

SQEX-10327 | Re:Birth II / Romancing Saga Battle Arrange: Like expected it was more a skipping (than playing) this album. Sorry Ito, no love from me

NCRS-0008~10 | Time Travelers OST: Nothing you can say about the production quality of the album, it's top notch. However I've got the same problem as with all other scores by Sakamoto, nothing sticks... well, maybe "Another Timeline" (track 1.02). This one is actually quite OK.

SVWC-7884 | Persona 4: The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena OST: Didn't listen to this yet in fact, but I ordered it after Kitajoh was confirmed as second composer aside from Meguro.
