Yes, I know how that subject line sounds. ^_~ I finally cracked open the "Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust" soundtrack a few days ago, and I'm liking it more and more. It's much less ambient than the first VHD soundtrack was, with a lot of "heavy" tracks -- and I don't mean heavy metal or rock, but very emotional, a mix of strong songs like when Meier and D are fighting on Meier's carriage, and some really beautifully softer stuff, especially in the scenes concerning Leila. The song "A Bit(e) of Hope" (which I think plays when the spaceship is launching) is one such song.

Then there's the bonus Japanese song at the end of the CD whose title and artist escape my mind at the moment ^_~ which is a catchy song, slightly rock, typical anime ending theme.

I really loved this movie -- one of the few I've watched several times -- but I was kind of on the fence about the CD at first. But now I'm starting to really appreciate it.

Oh my gosh, Bloodlust is one of my alltime favs, haha. I can listen to that straight through as I do almost anything - coding, playing NCAA Football 2005, just browsing, etc. The fight themes are particularly good (The Grove).

I can leave that pop song at the end, though. tongue
