Uematsu's battle themes are hot. I think the light-hearted nature of the game is allowing Uematsu to "have fun" again. And, unlike Hanjuku Hero, this time it's a good thing.

I didn't like the battle themes at *all*. Too heavy on the rock. Didn't care for the creepier piece either. It sounded like pretty much every other villain piece he's written.

The game looks... interesting. I think that's the first use of romaji I've seen in a video game.

Wow. I never thought I'd say this again, but Uematsu's battle themes for this game are pretty awesome. Not a fan of the vocal one, but the first battle tune was a pleasant surprise.

My 56K despises them even more.  As far as YouTube videos go, though, you might want to try KeepVid, which converts those streams to a downloadable .flv format.

I don't think I'd go that far.  I'd say this stuff looks intriguing, but I probably won't buy any of them.  That said, you better believe I want soundtracks to all of them and Infinite Undiscovery as well.

Unfortunately, I'm not that happy with the presented music. It's way too synth for such a seemingly "advanced" gaming console, and I don't care much for rock vocals in Uematsu's music. Let's see what further samples come up.

Yeah, the Engrish boss battle theme isn't doing it for me.  Now the music in the Lost Odyssey trailer... THAT I'm looking forward to hearing more of.

We all might be interested to know that the boss theme is a song by Deep Purple.

Hm, nice music.  I did like the regular battle theme better than the boss battle, so I guess that's okay that it's a Deep Purple song then.  It's a shame the game looks horrible.

I just got back from Play! Toronto where they had the main theme from Blue Dragon as an encore.  It was amazing!

Blue Dragon is the encore at all the Play! concerts.

Doesn't lessen its impact on ya though, does it? I loved it, personally.

Toronto featured Castlevania music right? I'd love to know how that went, though I'll be hearing from my own contacts about it soon.

First half of the Castlevania was exactly the same as, I believe, the first track of Dracula New Classic.  Second half was a different piece; more upbeat and fast paced with an organ solo through out.  It was quite good.
