Are there bootleg Nintendo DS games? I've been looking on ebay for some DS games recently and some shippers in Hong Kong and Taiwan sell new unopened games for cheaper than normal. When I went through their feedback, a few people claim the games are defective/fake. Is that so? I didn't expect bootlegs off those DS game cards.

I'm no expert in the matter, but I've never bought DS games on ebay for that exact reason. My guess is that there are indeed quite a few bootlegs.

Yeah, I might have to quit ebay for buying DS games. It's possible that an American seller bought the game from some guy in Hong Kong or Taiwan and is innocently getting rid of it. Aye. Now I have to make sure I get every DS game I want before they go out of print.

Can't say I'm surprised considering how GBA carts are bootleged.

Alot of the big name games are bootlegged.  The ones I've seen most prominently are Tetris DS, GTA:CW, and Super Princess Peach.  FYI, if it says in the description "This doesn't work on the DSi" then you can be pretty certain it's a bootleg. ;P
