He did the same thing at a Japanese LEGEND club event back in 2002.
(long with other classic VGMer's like Kimitaka Matsume and Shinji Hosoe).

Although he didn't really DO much of anything on the turntables though, just put in what seemed like a pre-mixed cdr and let it spin, while he just stood there for the most part.   Wasn't terribly exciting, but hey it's still Yuzo...  (Kimitaka's Famicom mixes were more fun).

I remember. I think I watched that on YouTube.
It might be a very nice experience to see it live, though.

Yeah I'll agree it'd still be nice to see in person.

It seems a little odd for an Orchestral concert though, to all of a sudden have a DJ segment interrupting the live songs, and to me that doesn't quite fit with the overall theme of PLAY A SYMPHONY...

Agreed, it is unusual...
In my understanding his performance will not interrupt the symphonic part, though:

The mix Yuzo played on that fake DJ event was available for download on the ancient website, and i don't know if it wasn't even available before the show.

Maybe he'll just "play" that same mix again on the Singapore event...

That's odd, dance floor compatible DJ events should ideally happen after concerts...
