I just listened to FFMIX again today, and I was wondering with track #2 - Friends Beats (Dear Friends). Did they add this song on there as a joke, or was it meant to be serious? Does anyone honestly actually like that music/track?

I have traumatic memories of FF Mix. The only thing I remember was waking up with my face in a pile of CD shards.

So as far as that one track, I couldn't tell you, but it was probably about average as far as the CD went. The SFC-ish tracks in the middle were nice at least.

I love FF MIX in all of its massive cheesiness.  So there. ;-)

i remember always skipping the first 3 tracks when i played it,, and the last 1 or 2 sucked as well,, but even the 20 minutes or so of unreleased ff4/5 stuff makes worth the price of the cd. hard to believe they cut out some of those tracks...

I remember being traumatized the the entire FF Mix CD, period. Oh, and Andy, I haven't forgotten about that song you asked for, I've just had to juggle a lot of things recently.

FF Mix is the only official arranged FF CD that I like less than Grand Finale.  I was just shocked and appalled that they'd even made it when I originally heard it.

I'm surprised they didn't reincorperate any of those tracks into the remakes. Some of those are actually pretty nice. I wonder what other awesome tracks hit the cutting room floors that we never hear...
