Reviews

Fun, pleasant, mild, and pretty, but not a must-buy.

Ya know what this CD is good for? Ya know when you make a tape for a friend and at the end of Side A you have just a little bit of tape left, just a two minute emptiness that's big enough to be annoying but too small to slap on another track? That's when you reach for all the CDs you know that have tracks on em shorter than 2 minutes, right? Well Dragon Quest VI on Piano has quite a few of those.

If you love piano music to the point of irrationality, or if you're learning how to play and you want something with easy (simplistic, boring) arrangements that you can play along to, or if you have a fixation for the music from Mister Roger's Neighborhood, or if you not only managed to stay awake but were on your feet cheering at your kid brother's piano recital in fifth grade, then go ahead and pick up this CD. If none of the above apply to you, though, spend the money on the full orchestral version instead - these solo piano tracks have a certain charm but were probably put together to make a fast buck.
