The best classic game music and more
Anyone still have the track laying around from, I think 2002 that was an arrangement of the FF theme in Christmas style? I think it was arranged by Kenji Ito, and I believe offered for free DL on Square's Japanese site
I'm looking for an untainted version. I have it, but it's been transcoded:

Barring that, Angela could probably help you out - she posted it as recently as 2008 in this thread (the link in that thread is gone now, unfortunately). I remember grabbing it then, but I have a nasty habit of transferring things to data CDs and forgetting to label them. Sorry.
My friend sent it to me about a month ago and assured me that it was the original from the Square Sounds site. Excellent track btw.

I could easily post it again, but I believe it may be the same exact file as Joshua's Easy Share upload; both weigh in at 2.9 MB, so I'm assuming it's the same as the 128kbps one that I have.

Hmm? Just click the Download link next to the green down arrow and it'll start downloading the mp3 directly, no installation of anything necessary. Not sure why it's asking you to do that. I deleted my cookie and tested it in Firefox and Chrome.

Hm, the link on the page itself wasn't clickable; I thought it was my NoScript settings, but no dice. That direct link did the trick, though, thanks!
Mike's link is also the 128kbps version, the same as mine and Joshua's. (And presumably Joe's.) And I'm fairly certain I got mine off of the official Square Sounds site as well. So I guess the bigger question is: what's Joshua's definition of an "untainted version"? Was there even a higher encode released in the first place?
Well I apologize then - I assumed mine was transcoded as I used to do that for all my 'random' files, change it to 128kps, and I figured it was at least at 160 or 192.
