So a big part of the gaming sphere seems to be on a Fire Emblem kick lately, with FE Echoes just released, and it struck me that I really like the direction the new Fire Emblem trilogy on 2DS and 3DS has been taking the series' music. Fire Emblem has always had some great tunes, but I've always thought that the overall quality has been kind of uneven, with some kickass tunes but a lot of filler material too. With Awakening, Fates and Echoes, they've been addressing that, and Echoes seems to be the best of the bunch, but that's not to knock on Fates and Awakening which also delivered really strong soundtracks.

Here's With Mila's Divine Protection, a classic upbeat Fire Emblem song in Echoes' style: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xA5MvVj … pEs5BAbvGR

Here's The Slumbering Labyrinth (Echoes), which puts a cool new spin on the "creepy BGM": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9aTHfTT … R&index=84

For an example of Fates music, Quiet Burn: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_q5OfAqCoV0

And for Awakening, the great Prelude: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Z84iiibL4Q
