A lot of older albums included stickers - many which are quite old at this point.  Some are probably almost 30 years old.

This has me wondering: how long do stickers stay "good," assuming they haven't been peeled from their backing?  Does anyone have any knowledge or direct experience on this (e.g. you actually tried to use a really old sticker)?

Apparently in the right climate and out of sunlight and depending how well the stickers were made to begin with, stickers can last up to 45 years.

Where does the 45 year figure come from?  Not that i doubt it; it's just very specific smile

Well, it is certainly an interesting question you posed and there doesn't seem to be much info getting a straight answer online.  I took that answer from this site, but I'm not sure where they got their info from (other than making the claim themselves).  I did find a scientific site taking about PSAs (pressure sensitive adhesives), but the article was referencing a figure/graph that was not shown nor linked on the site, so perhaps the answer was there at some point.
