I got a dub of this soundtrack from a friend a few years ago and a few of the tracks have remained in my track lists.

But I have a few questions.

I really like "Visionary Community" but, for the life of me, I don't really know what "genre" one would consider this track to be. Is it "wub" like some of the music in the DmC reboot or something else? I find myself questioning this odd because I usually don't care what genre a piece of music is when it is VGM because in the end it's just video game music to me... but I guess this one does stick out because since it's a pretty big departure from the other tunes I have.

Lastly there is "Rave On" which I really like... well, at least until the distortion comes in near the end of the track. Does this effect take place in the game or was this added for the OST release? Does this part of the track grate on anyone else's nerves?

No distortion in the game. 'Rave On' has several different versions that play in the game, which I'd recommend you download from rips. The official release is ruined starting at the 2:02 mark.
