Going with the Genesis and Snes music threads, why not make one for Arcade games ?

Here are some of my picks of favorite lesser-known picks.

Trizeal

Nothing out of the ordinary, just typical shmup music which harkens back to the days of old.

Grid Seeker

One of Norihiro Furukawa's best works at Taito. Gotta love the stage themes since they are pretty good.

Light Bringer

Furukawa's other major Taito work. Synth-orchestral music that really sounds ahead of its time.

Kaiser Knuckle

Probably not that well known, but its composer is anything but obscure. Yasuhisa Watanabe concocted some crazy and out-of-the-ordinary music for a fighting game. Pretty groovy overall.

Rolling Thunder 2

Some people probably have played the Genesis port. I'm pretty sure the sound quality isin't as good as the Arcade original. Plus this is one of Ayako Saso's first works ever, and it's pretty awesome overall.

Knuckle Heads

Pretty much what I've mentionned above, except it's centered on Takayuki Aihara instead. It's also one of his rare solo soundtracks. Pretty varied as far as style goes.

Cyber Sled

One of Shinji Hosoe's best solo works. Ever. Nothing else needs to be added. Look it up.

Strikers 1999

Typical synth-rock, but it works. It's short but oh-so very sweet.

That's pretty much it for my picks.

Feel free to add more.

I love the Cyber Sled soundtrack, so T-Square sounding.

Those are some of the best I've heard. And I didn't know they were arcade games. The main arcade in my area was shut down about 13 years ago.
