Very sad. The man was a legend and such a huge part of our lives, especially for any Trek fans. I grew up on Star Trek - my mum was a fan, I became a fan and that never really changed. Nimoy is a truly special.

I'm not the sort of person who cares about celebrity deaths, but I find myself unexpectedly affected by the news of Nimoy's passing.  I'm a Next Generation fan and never cared much for the original series, but I recognize that Spock is the anchor of the whole franchise.  Nimoy's character endured for so long in the in-universe timeline that it feels like, even at the age of 83, Nimoy died too young.
