As I'm sure many of you know, the FF Strings Edition (I-III) albums by Rei Shimizu are very difficult to find.  If anyone here has a copy of these albums, and would be willing to part with them, please PM me.

I'll also mention that this offer remains open indefinitely.  Even if this post is several years old when you see it, please get in touch, as I am likely still looking for these albums smile

They're not difficult to find. You just need help from someone going to an event Rei is going to.

I actually did contact Rei by email, and he told me that he has no copies of these albums left, and there are no plans to reprint them.

Are you saying he does have some extra copies, which he makes available at events?  I can't say I know anyone who attends these events, but knowing this would be a good start smile

Five months later, and still no sign of any of these three albums in all the usual places (YJA, suruga-ya, vgmdb marketplace, ...).

If anyone here owns these and would be willing to sell, or happens to know any leads, please drop me a PM.

I am very interested in finding these as well, and just like Rrolack I have had little success.  However, through a LOT of hunting over a LOOOOOOOONG period of time I have managed to find digital FLAC copies of FF STRINGS EDITION III & MP3 copies of GAMES STRINGS EDITION 2.  If you want them please send me a PM here or email me at markterry@ """NOSPAMNOSPAMNOSPAM""" crosskoru.com .

May I ask why you want these albums so badly?

5 months doesn't seem that long a hunt in terms of doujin collecting. I started following the scene in 2010 and was looking for Zephyr Cradle's Bifrost album at that time. I only just found a copy and was able to actually buy it this year.

My own personal philosophy has shifted on collecting over the years to if you can't get it when it is released don't worry about it and move on. If you find a copy later, great, but there's plenty of stuff in the present and future to take its place. Don't dwell on a hunt too much and instead work on your process of obtaining the items you want when they are released so you save yourself on time/money/headaches.

Sometimes one must. If not for my near insane tenacity, I would never have obtained Famicle Parodic 2 or Chachamaru Human Omnibus.

Imagine, for a moment, if you let up. Like take a little break. While you're taking that little break, the album you want is being bought by someone else.

I'm a big fan of the early FF soundtracks, so really any doujin which is at least halfway-decent is on my interest list.  From what I've heard, these albums are a good bit better than most, which has me even more keen to find them.

I might have been the second bidder on that auction; the auction I have in mind ended on April 30th, and I believe was for a sealed copy.  If that's the one, my apologies for driving up the price!

Fair enough. I think they're a bit straight-foward in their arrangments and the albums are short. Prefer TAM's FF Violin series even though those do not focus on any specific game but are complitations.

Yep, that was me. I figured since it was the first time in awhile I had seen a copy (seen it multiple times but never could win it), and was sealed to boot, I could treat myself. I tend to buy in cycles and was in a drought period smile

Out of sight, out of mind. I can't worry about what someone may be buying if I didn't know about it. Similar to how when you lose something you sometimes find it faster once you stop looking so hard for it.

Kinda like how this summer I bought kt2's entire disco sealed for 5000 yen, but only after finally giving up after looking for a year or two.

I eventually found all three albums on suruga-ya.  Thanks to Zorbfish for suggesting it as a good shop for used doujins smile

Glad to help, but I'm surprised they popped up there. I had seen volume 3 a couple times but never 1 or 2. I've also been finding some great finds lately as well.
