I was in California this weekend hanging out with my brother who was recording some new music. During some downtime, I got a chance to try out the kit.  The bonus is the studio mix sound quality of the drums.

Any feedback is welcome, please pardon the silly faces..lol

cheers

Ha!  I wish I had a setup like that - much less the means to record my own drums.  In another note, I did just record drums at a friend's house for a two track demo me and this guy Alex are working on.  Once they're done, I'll see if I'm comfortable posting them.

(A drum video would be fun to do - we'll see)

Spectacularly badass! I wish I had a video of me on my fake Rock Band drums to put you to shame. Except I wouldn't come close.

You guys are tooooooooooo kind...lol, thank you very much though.

See what happens when you play rock band too much..

Conn - LOL - someday, when I get a studio setup!  This one was borrowed last minute and all...haha..

cheers

Wicked, Brandon.  Twas some pretty awesome bangin' there!

Gotta admire drummers.  Honestly, drums seem so easy in principle, but they're by far the most rhythmically challenging instrument to play on.  The few occasions I get to actually play on a set, more often than not, the sticks tend to fly right outta my grip.

And then I would exclaim, "Damn Damn Drum!!"

Hope you don't mind me using your thread for this, brandonk, but this was just too adorable not to share.  I caught this video by Rhythm Tengoku Gold association; the girl's just five years old, but her drumming and rhythmic skills look pretty solid.  What do you think?

If she grows up to be a pro drummer, she should bring that yellow rocking horse with the pink elephant on it to place in front of her kit during shows as tradition. ^__^

Oh nice playing Brandon, somehow I missed this the first time around.
And I agree, being in a big studios somehow provides extra creative juice.

No worries Ang - that girl has definitely got something!  In fact, that's the age I started playing.  If I ever have kids, I will get an electronic drum set, and set it up so everything it's proportionally within reach.   Over the labor day weekend we propped my 2.5 year old niece behind the kit, and she definitely had fun, she didn't want to stop playing.

Looked kinda something like this:

i find it funny how one of the comments to his video is some kid ripping on his style, and then they go on to proclaim how if they want to hear a great drummer they should listen to tool...
