When I'm typing and I get the the end of the line,
the word I'm typing cut offs in the end and continues on the following line.  I want to keep the whole word together.

Example:  the word "system" will be like  sys
and then "tem" on the next line.

I want Word to just move the whole word down because it's jarring to read just half a word.
Does anyone know what the command or the setting to make that happen?

Thanks in advance.

If you are using Word 07, click the Page Layout tab, go to the Page Setup ribbon, and click "Hyphenation." Set it to "none."

In Word 03, go to Format-->Paragraph-->Line and Page Breaks, and select "Don't Hyphenate." You can do this in Word 07 too, replacing "Format' with the Home tab.

Hope this helps!
