Anybody know anything about this? What the game's about? What the music's supposed to be like?

The title and album graphic seem interesting, and it's supposed to be published by S-E...and it's supposed to be composed by Keiichi Ikabe (name sounds familiar to me, somehow; I'm looking up his discography to figure out why...)

The music revealed so far (you can listen to 7 samples on the Japanese site) features a lot of vocal work. The first sample can be heard as you enter the site, but once you click enter on either Gestalt or Replicant sides, you can hear 3 more songs on each site, totalling 7. I've loved what I've heard so far!

It's Keiichi Okabe, one of the veterans of the Namco sound team. smile

And founder of Monaca, one of the bigger music production companies. More from him shortly!

one of the best videogame OSTs i've ever heard to be honest.

His (Keiichi Okabe) 'Walking on the Land of Flame' arrangement from the Mushihimesama AST is what brought him to my attention, so I preordered Nier. I'll have to wait until late May, since the Etrian Odyssey III AST is part of the order.

The only ones I know to be true so far are:

Grandma - Keiichi Okabe
The Ultimate Weapon - Keiichi Okabe
Shadowlord - Keigo Hoashi
Shadowlord -White-note Remix - Keigo Hoashi

Told to me by Keigo Hoashi, so no misleading info there!

I bought this soundtrack and its absolutely amazing.  It's two disks at the price of a normal C.D. online.  Support this author!

Emi Evans composed the lyrics and sang most of the titles.  Check out this interview of her here as she explains what they wanted, and how they constructed.  At the very least, I found it fascinating.

P.S.  If you fear the link, do a google search for Nier singer interview.  You should find the same link
