Game music remix community OverClocked ReMix are currently raising funds to support expansion and their continued VGM remixing efforts.  They've already met funding goals for improved forums and for SoundCloud Pro hosting of all OCR arrangements.  Still to be reached are targets for a more open and robust publishing system, official non-profit status, and lossless file hosting for all mixes.

To say OCR have been a major influence in the VGM scene - particularly the fan remix scene - would be an understatement.  Fans looking to help support their ongoing efforts can visit their fundraising page at Patreon.

As long as it's not egregious advertising or annoying paywalls or unqualified "professionals" looking for little more than handouts, they don't bother me.  This is the nature of small, online things and I don't think it's going to go anywhere.

You realize hosting alone for a site like that isn't cheap?

Free quality remixes of great game tunes--and in recent years, entire albums--for the better part of two decades? I'm inclined to give them a pass.

Their home page allows you to give them a simple payment (paypal, non-monthly, non-signup). I did that.
