I think the original DC release of the Black Mages album is equally classy and sexy: all black with shiny, silver letters and the BM logo. It's bold in its simplicity. I'm also a big fan of KiRite's cover. It's gorgeous. I'm also really impressed with the way they incorporated a piano's image onto the sand for Piano Collections Final Fantasy X.

In recent memory, the Okami OST has totally won me over.  But then, everything Okami touches turns out beautiful anyway.  ^_^

Anything that has the logo against a pure white backdrop generally works for me; the Final Fantasy V and VI OSV, as well as the Chrono Cross OST slip case.  I liked the comet-embossed cover of FF7's Reunion Tracks as well.  For character artwork-driven covers, Soukaigi still ranks as number one in my book.  I'm surprised you don't like the Genso Suikoden I OST cover, Conn.  I like it, along with the group shots on the GS4 and GS5 OST covers as well.

I know what you mean about the Suikoden I OST. It would be fine if it were just the character ensemble picture, but the garish text splashed over it, and that awful 'Original Game Soundtrack' ticker ruins it.

I'm quite fond of the Seiken Densetsu 3 OST and the Tokimeki Memorial Pro-Fusion covers, among others.

Although this isn't VGM exactly, Ys III's Genesis art is among the worst I've seen...it belongs with MegaMan 1 US and that Tecmo Secret of the Stars crap:

Yeah, a CD cover that says "Moby Games - The definitive resource for PC games" wouldn't grab me much, either. ^_~

There hasn't been any cover that I've really hated. The Brink of Time cover had me scratching my head, but I can't recall it ever repulsing me. Of course, there's always a first time...

I always took the BoT cover to represent the "cooking" of the Chrono Trigger, aka The Time Egg.

As for my personal favorite cover, gotta go with Einhander.

As far as classy covers, I don't think you could do much better than Matt Hall's brilliant painting for Medal of Honor (http://chudahs-corner.com/img/cover/1/1 … _front.jpg).  The rich colors, the iconic pose, the clouds…  Medal of Honor Underground (http://chudahs-corner.com/img/cover/8/899020_front.jpg) has a great cover too (and similar), but Medal of Honor always wins the prize in my mind.  And coincidentally (no, really!) these happen to be two of the best soundtracks ever written for games.

Another one that's always great is Myst III: Exile (http://chudahs-corner.com/img/cover/non … _front.jpg).  Sure it only has three colors, but it's awfully nice to look at.

And speaking of classy, Grim Fandango (http://chudahs-corner.com/img/cover/1/1097929_front.jpg) positively screams (!) class.  Again, this is coincidentally another of the best game soundtracks I own, and also one of my favorite games of all time.

But yeah, that cover for Final Fantasy X Piano Collections (http://chudahs-corner.com/img/cover/s/S … _front.jpg) is awesome.  I hadn't seen it before Zane posted the link, but I love it.

Always loved the Raycrisis ost cover (makes more sense if you've played the games). Alundra ost cover is awesome too. There's more, but can't think off the top of my head. Oh, Dracula New Classic is really nice too.
