No, this is not Spam, and No, there's nothing wrong with my keyboard.

PPPPPP is the soundtrack to VVVVVV, the recently released indie retro game for PC ( http://thelettervsixtim.es/ ) and although I haven't played the game (just the demo) the soundtrack is all kinds of AWESOMENESS.

I know there's plenty people here who enjoy their chiptunes, and it doesn't get much better than this!
The music was composed by Magnus Palsson which does not ring a bell to me, but he's definitely going to be one to watch in the future. Here's his website where you can download samples and even buy the CD:

(or you could sample the full songs on Youtube)

If it's not obvious from his site (and the music) the guy is inspired by Mega Man and that definitely shows in PPPPPP.
There's lots of different styles in here though, there's some Metroid touches as well, and it's all good.

This should nicely fill the gap between now and MM10...

The game is pretty cool, the demo was enough for me, I don't think I'll be perusing the full game. I definitely agree on the music, definitely Megaman-inspired.

All told, this makes me wanna go play some NES.

Man, that guy writes some catchy stuff! I've only listened to a handful of songs from the downloads page so far, but most of it has been good ear candy. I love that song called "Ultra Happy." I would set that as my alarm in the morning.

Fun stuff, thanks for the link. It's too bad its mp3 only though and the "Buy CD" is a bit misleading...

Been listening to the soundtrack again.  "Passion For Exploring" has been on loop for the better part of the last hour.  So damned good.

Anyone else heard the remix album "PPPPPPowerup!" yet?  It's a beefy accompaniment to the original album, with some pretty boss arrangements.  Check out the teaser preview in mp3 format here.

Elrinth's power rock arrangement of Passion To Explore, "Fashion 2 Explode", and Chris Geehan's "Pressure Cooker" are my personal faves.  Amanda Appiarius' lullaby-like vocal version of Pipe Dream in "So Blue" is also quite lovely.

I haven't yet tired of "Fashion 2 Explode", that I had to make a sample to showcase just how incredible it is.  Buy this album, people; owning this song in its five minute entirety is worth the $10 alone.
