Has anyone see this?

An JRPG based on the Wizard of Oz?!  Instant get!

Sakimoto's doing the soundtrack along with Michiko Naruke, which is an event in and of itself!!

I think it's about time I learned kanji.

I could be mistaken, but I think Sakimoto is handling most of the score while Naruke is only composing the vocal theme(s?). Either way, it could be interesting. I'll keep an ear out for it.

I though it was the other way around; if Sakamoto is doing the majority of it count me out.

Don is right. Samples indicates Basiscape might be lending a hand although Sakimoto's slightly official website says he's handling it all apart from Naruke's themes. I hope that's not the case.

If you watch video #2 on the site, it lists Sakimoto first and then Naruke, so you're probably right.  Plus there are a few sites that confirm Naruke is doing the main theme song and ending theme with Kaori Asou on vocals for both.  They previously teamed up to do vocal songs on the Wild Arms series.  My guess is that Sakimoto is doing the actual BGM and Naruke is just on vocals but we'll see.  What a crazy idea though, a Wizard of Oz RPG with awesome music.  Here's hoping for some fine Sakimoto arrangements of songs from the movie.  The track playing on the site is amazing!

Also, looks like a soundtrack CD comes with the game if you pre-order: LINK

This is probably one of the very few games I'm going to import, and I'd love the soundtrack CD with it.  Does Amazon.jp ship to the US?

That depends on the type of item (region coded items)

For VGM Music CDs, yes Amazon.co.jp will ship to the USA (cds aren't region specific)
For JP Games, no they will not.

I was under the impression that DS games (as well as PS3) were not region coded. As far as I know, every other type of game media is. Shame, though. You could give Play-Asia a try. They'll ship to the US.

I"ll most likely do play-asia, but it's a shame they don't have the soundtrack cd with it as well.  sad

It looks like XSeed is looking at localizing Riz-Zoawd!  http://gonintendo.com/?p=65551  I don't want to get my hopes up, but if they do bring it over, I'll definitely be getting it day one.

I'm curious as to what Media.Vision is working on next. The head of the company always said he was interested in redoing Wild Arms 2 which always gave me goosebumps but given what the company did with the original game with Alter code:F I don't think I could bear to see it redone with half the heart.
