I've seen a fair number of references on the internet on forums and whatnot to Yoko Shimomura's composing the Dr. Wily theme for Rockman/Megaman 5.  While it definitely sounds like it COULD be her, has this ever been actually confirmed anywhere?  No vgmdb entry for that soundtrack lists her as a composer, nor does her own website have any mention of Megaman whatsoever.  Searching in both English and Japanese I've come up with nothing that says she actually did it.  Anybody know anything about it?  Obviously not an earth shattering issue, but a little something I'm curious about.

I've heard this as well... but I've never seen any concrete evidence that this is true.

From what I remember leaning was I guess arcade music composers didn't really do the music for the consoles and vice versa... but that Shimomura got them to make an exception for one track.

But I may be taking that out of context as it may refer to the one track she did on Breath of Fire - not Mega Man 5.

Wow, I'd never heard of this rumor before, and I can't say the theme sounds like something made by her (but then I'm not terribly familiar with her pre-SNES music).
I looked around on the Japanese Internet(tm) a bit and I can't find any such rumors, let alone anything corroborating them...

Yeah, I've found nothing in Japanese corroborating this, and I'm not sure the best way to go about figuring it out otherwise.  I wonder if I'd get a response on Twitter...
