The latest batch from Scitron reveals no more usage of "Scitron Digital Contents Inc." and now "Happinet Corporation" has taken it's place.  I'm assuming Happinet has aquired Scitron.  The catalog numbers seem to be staying to the SCDC format though.  Just a little tidbit.

Confirmed by Manabu Namiki (referring Happinet as 'old Scitron'), this is true.

OMG, what the hell, the longest-standing name in vgm publishing is now being retired??

Even though Scitron is now a subsidiary of Happinet, whoever decided to ditch the VERY HISTORICAL name should get some lecturing and better have a damn good explaination why...

As a Brand Name, it was already very well established for 20 years, so why start rebranding now?  Very disappointing.

Happinet's website doesn't tell much of anything about the aquistion that I could see, and the Webcity site is basically the same execpt for small logo and (c) changes...

Any links to official data/sources/sites which explains the details??
