No preorders for me in September (at least not for now), but there is a bit of interesting stuff. Calm month in general.

Interesting:
CPCA-10313~4 | Gyakuten Saiban 5 Original Soundtrack (this would be a hot candidate for purchase, usually I love Iwadare)
WWCE-31301~2/B | Phantasy Star Series 25th Anniversary Concert Sympathy 2013 Live Memorial Album (never liked Phantasy Star, but TPO performs -- so it might be worthwhile)

Rest:
DERP-10020 | DANCING DAD (Earthbound Papas, I'm particularly interested in the Anata wo yurusanai track)
SQEX-10390 | Stolen Hearts / Nanaa Mihgo's (samples sounded decent, also violin and piano makes for a good combo)
SQEX-10384~5 | Chousoku Henkei Gyrozetter Original Soundtrack (Naoki Sato, can't be worse than BLOOD-C)
VTCL-60353 | Blood Lad O.S.T. 2 (haven't listened to Vol. 1 yet)
TBR23241D-2 | Fantasista Doll vol.1 Bonus CD (Yasuharu Takanashi, speaking of which, no music release for The Severing Crime Edge yet)

Final Fantasy VI OST Remaster
Stolen Hearts/NaNaa Mihgo's
Square Enix Composers Best/Selection Black Disk

Adam Corn Sep 18, 2013

Ah I never took a look at the releases for September till now.  Here are the ones that stand out, in order of release.

- Earthbound Papas: Dancing Dad
- Donkey Kong 64 Official Soundtrack  (at Bandcamp, name your price)
- Final Fantasy VI OST Remaster Version
- Gunstar Heroes Tribute Album ~Be Aggressive!~  (OCR)
- World 1-2: Encore  (at Bandcamp, also The Complete Collection)
- Chrono Trigger Symphony Vol. 2
- Armored Core Verdict Day OST
- Gyakuten Saiban 5 OST
- 30th Anniversary Capcom Music Best: Original & Arrange
- Phantasy Star Series 25th Anniversary Concert Sympathy 2013

First a question: Are the arrangements on 30th Anniversary Capcom Music Best new to the album or just compiled?  I assume the latter.

I've no interest in Earthbound Papas after hearing their awful turn in Distant Worlds 2 but I figure others might.  Final Fantasy VI being the only of Square's three remastered re-releases that I own the original OSV for, I'd be curious to hear how it compares.  World 1-2: Encore has some interesting looking VGM remixes on it, I'll be listening to it on Bandcamp today.  I enjoyed the first volume of Chrono Trigger Symphony so I'll be looking forward to Volume 2.  And I'm woefully unfamiliar with Phantasy Star music so I'm hoping the 25th Anniversary Concert featuring the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra will give me a good reason to get acquainted.

DJ CUTMAN & Spamtron's MeowMeow & BowWow is really good if you are a fan of Link's Awakening.

The only other thing to add is that I'm extremely happy to see a general release of STEINS;GATE SYMPHONIC REUNION. Although it's a bit concerning as it was advertised with disc one being the exact same as the disc packed in with the PS3 double pack release, however the track listings differ. I guess the second disc of extra content will make up for it smile  Ito's Skyclad Observer from symphonic material gets me every time.

My Gyakuten Saiban 5 OST has arrived its a masterpiece really..
but why are the tracks on the CD unnamed and genre, composer unknown?
i found the lack of info odd. neutral

Redbook doesn't store any track metadata and CD-TEXT isn't widely used, nor is it particularly good.

Ouch, I thought those type of promos were meant to stir up interest in the product, not shoo people away.

They should have just filled the arrangement disc up with classic Alph Lyra tracks instead of this dreck.
