I think most Senran Kagura games have been localized, so I'd say chances are very good.

I'm kind of confused by this comment. Are you betting it won't come over or that it will? Didn't we get the first game on the 3DS over here in the states? This is the game where female ninjas rip away one another's clothing in combat, correct?

I don't think the deciding factor this kind of game is whether or not the content is too risque; the deciding factor is probably how well the first game sold.

This game ups the sexual content though. I figured America would take issue with the interactive content that uses HD rumble...

New details:

HD rumble is a particularly fascinating feature of Nintendo Switch. I expect that we’ll be able to do various things that we couldn’t do with the rumble function before.

As for what kind of things we’ll be able to do in Shinobi Refle using HD rumble, right now I’ll leave that to your imagination.

We’re basically aiming for a pure and wholesome Senran Kagura, and our main objective is to convey the feelings of the characters through HD rumble.

The story will be charmingly stupid. You’ll be able to enjoy a different story than before.

Asuka will be the only character to appear.

Oh, okay. I didn't realize they were going "to up the ante" and figured it be more of the same.

That said, I can't help but feel that this is all Japanese developers have to fall back on these days. Obviously not all of them and yeah, I'm using broad strokes here, but I find sex appeal off this degree/nature to be insanely cheap. They know we have the internet, right?

And yes, I know Western developers do it as well; it just doesn't seem as prominent because it feels there is more game around the sexual content.

Edit:

Eh, sorry about that. I think I've gone off on a tangent about this before. Again, sorry, but it's so hard not to be dissapointed with the current state of the Japanese games industry in some fashion. Man, they rocked so hard in the PS1 days.

This coming amidst industry-wide jubilation that Japan is, in fact, back, and has kicked off the year incredibly strongly.

Nioh, NieR:Automata, Breath of the Wild, Persona 5, Gravity Rush 2, Yakuza 0.
Don't blame the industry if you don't like the games.

I guess the part where I said the westerners use cheap sex appeal as well doesn't matter?

Yes, I'll admit that I didn't phrase the above very well and two trains of thought got mixed together, I was just trying to say the balance of power had shifted back to the west after the east had it in the PS1 era.

And no, it's not that I dislike games, I just don't feel a need to play them anymore. Do I think old games are better? No. I just think there was more creativity that resulted from limitations in previous gens and less worry about ballooning budgets.

Edit:

Also, some of those games I grew up with, yeah, they weren't so great. Even I can see that now.

I wasn't talking about the "sex appeal in games" thing. I've spent too many facepalms on that already.

It's fine if you're not into games anymore!
I can kind of see your point about creativity. There certainly seemed to be more ballsy, crazy games back then, but as you said, they don't necessarily hold up very well.

Sorry for the confusion above. I guess there's no use beating that dead horse.

I don't really know why I don't want to play (or rather feel like) games anymore, even the 50-60 favorites I have on hand. I really like listening to the music from those games though.

My apologies for disrupting the thread. Again, I don't think older games are better and newer games are bad; I don't really a have a grasp on newer games to really make such a claim.

Edit: Also, I should try to stop using the word "really."
