Yeah, let's hope they don't f--- up supply AGAIN.
Apparently they discontinued the NES Mini so that they could start production on the SNES Mini (those are the rumors anyway), so they better make damn sure there's enough of these to go around.
Let's place some bets as to price/content!
My guess is they won't be doing another "30 games for $60" deal. They're too stingy for that, considering they charge 8 or 9 bucks for SNES games on VC.
I'm guessing it will either be 30 games again, but priced around $100 (they know now people will pay good money for these things), OR they'll stay at the $60 price point but offer fewer games, like maybe 15 - 20 or so.
It was basically $2 per game for the NES Mini, so I assume it will be about $4 per game for SNES.
Assuming it's 15 for now, I'm guessing this will be the line-up:
- Super Mario World
- Super Mario All-Stars
- Super Mario Kart
- Super Metroid
- Link to the Past
- Kirby Super Star
- Donkey Kong Country (just one of them, probably the first one)
- Mega Man X (or 7, but probably X)
- Street Fighter 2
- Super Ghouls and Ghosts
- Super Castlevania 4
- Contra 3
- Final Fantasy 4 (or 6? Hopefully? Most likely not both. If SQEX want to troll people, they'll only include 5)
NOT expecting Chrono Trigger, because that would be too generous for SQEX. Not expecting Secret of Mana either, what with the collection coming to Switch.
Also not expecting Star Fox or any other game that uses the SFX chip.
In any case, it's hard to f--- up a collection of SNES games, so I'm definitely going to pre-order this time.
