Halloween is upon us, and while it's not really much of a big deal in the UK I thought I'd put together a couple of hours of spooky game tunes for the radio. It's not easy to find stuff that's spooky but still melodic and an actual tune to listen to, rather than ambient stuff (otherwise I'd queue up the soundtrack from Silent Hill or Resident Evil and job done). I call upon the knowledge of STC smile

Here's what I've got already - it's all pretty centered around orchestral themes, but I'd like to get some nice tinkly stuff in there as well. Stuff like the music from the film Halloween (surprisingly enough).

The Front Hall - Resident Evil 2
Cold Water - Biohazard Best Track Box Sound Chronicle Complete Collection Perfect Selection
Enchanted World - Medievil
Main Theme (Orchestral Version) - Parasite Eve
Endless Zero - Demento
The Cave - Dracula New Classic
The Attic - Rule of Rose
Graveyard Moon - Shadow Hearts
Dreams - Silent Hill
Haunted House - Super Mario World
Stage 7 - Undeadline (MSX Version)
Undercity - Vagrant Story
Temple of Kiltia - Vagrant Story
All Is Twilight - Valkyrie Profile
Through A Thin Haze - Valkyrie Profile
Creeping Shadow - Shadow of the Colossus
Graveyard - World of Warcraft
Forest - Silent Hill 2
Sinking Old Sanctuary - Castlevania Bloodlines
Ghouls n Ghosts Title - C64 version
Swamp - Monkey Island 2
Who Am I? - Final Fantasy VII
The Sochen Cave Palace - Final Fantasy XII

Don't forget LOAD BGM from Castlevania X68000! Any of the different different sound module versions have a great Halloween sound. It's also in Drac X Chronicles, which made me happy.

Well, you gotta have something from Zombies Ate My Neighbors (known as just "Zombies" in the UK, I believe).  My favorites are Pyramid of Fear and Mars Needs Cheerleaders, but they're all good.

Some other ideas:

The Trick Manor - Super Castlevania IV
Haunted Chase - Donkey Kong Country 2
Passacaglia - Genso Suikoden
Sub Castle BGM - Super Mario World
Kraid's Hideout - Metroid/SSBM/Zero Mission (take your pick)
Clockwork - Castlevania III
Fog of Phantom - Tactics Ogre
Approaching Crisis - Grandia
Saradiart - Rebus
Demons - SMT3 Nocturne Maniacs
Dancing Calbrina - Final Fantasy IV
The Marshaling Yard (The First Half) - Resident Evil 2

Adding to your excellent Vagrant Story selections, I personally think "Catacombs" is another creepy-as-hell piece. It makes me feel really uneasy listening to it, especially at night.

Other choices:

1. "Black Blood" - Shadow of the Colossus
2. "Five Years Ago" - Digital Devil Saga Avatar Tuner
3. "My Heaven" - Silent Hill
4. "One Who Is Torn Apart" - Xenogears
5. "deja vĂș" - ICO
6. "Cursed Zone" - Okami

I say this every year at this time, so I suppose I will say it once more.  There is only one album you need in order to have a rocking good time on Halloween: Perfect Selection Dracula.  Better beware.

"At a Place Nobody Knows" from Mega Man Legends is kind of creepy and has a lonely/empty vibe to it - it has one hell of an acurate title as well.

"Albedo" from Xenosaga Der Wille zur Mach.

I was going to recommend this track as well but you beat me to it.

Radical Dreamers - Sneaking Around. (dunno if that's the real name, it's the 5th track)
Very minimalistic but spooky... weird coming from Mitsuda.
