Earlier this year I was on a 3D kick when I found out about stereoscopic videos on YouTube that you view by "crossing" your eyes. Now I see that people are editing their artwork this way as well, and it looks impressive (until your eyes start to go wonky).

my dad is an antique photography buff and has stereoscopic photos from as far back as the mid 1800s.
his specialty is civil war era daguerreotypes, but he also makes new ones of modern scenes.
and no, i didnt drink from the jar of mercury in the crawlspace when i was a kid

Interesting stuff. And you know what, I completely forgot about the Viewmaster I had as a kid. You put those slideshow discs in and click the lever--I remember having one with a bunch of Disney pictures. Good times.
