I just picked this game up at the Mass Effect 2 midnight release and I have to say the game is absolutely wonderful. Its a manifestation of why we can't lose hope for Capcom. With that being said does anyone know if they plan to release the OST for this game and also if they will include the NA tracks as well? (Due to licensing issues original themes of characters were dropped in certain occasions so there were new songs added to compensate.)

The NA version is being (re-)released in Japan, and Amazon Japan says that it'll come with a soundtrack CD. However, it'll likely be just a vocal track collection.

I tried the Japanese version a while ago and was surprised at how simplified the controls were. It was still a lot of fun from what little I played, but it seems that with each new VS game they keep taking away attack buttons. By the time they get to Ghibli vs. Capcom there'll just be one giant attack button. hmm

I love the game's look, too. For my money I think it looks better than Street Fighter IV. And thank goodness they finally updated Morrigan. Although, it would've been hilarious if they kept her old sprite.

Most of the people in my fighting game circle have been slow to pick it up (and the 3 tournaments that had it as a tourney game in my area this year ended up dropping it due to lack of interest from participants). I like the graphics and emphasis away from assists and it is fun, but I can't see this ever supplanting Marvel 2 in popularity. I expect them to keep this engine for a possible sequel or Marvel vs Capcom 3 though and I expect them to improve on it.

I'm not keen on the button dropping either, nor was I with BlazBlue (compared to Guilty Gear). Both this and Blaz draw a similar reaction: I can take or leave both games, but I can't wait for their updates/sequels.

As for Tatsunoko's Music: Soundtrack please! This shit is the kind of good, fun stuff that has been missing from Capcom's arsenal for close to a decade now.

I'm a guy that plays a bunch of fighters with much more complicated systems than TVC but I have to say I agree with what someone at IGN said (WOW!) it is possibly one of the most if not THE most accessible fighting game on the market. Thats an absolutely wonderful thing. I am a person who really hates MVC2 but for a game in that veritable style it sure is different. I don't really feel like I am getting a watered down, trashy, fighting game made for the Wii's fan base. I feel like I am playing just another different system within the long line of the genre.

Thank god for Morrigan. I thought they were never going to replace that goddamned sprite. I could see everyone in their 3D glory now and Morrigan in her old, crusty ass sprite from a century ago.

Sad about the vocal tracks only but at least its something. Now its only a shame that it probably won't be stand alone. I completely agree that this fills a void in Capcom. They used to have such fun music. Its nice to listen to it when most everything else is heavy handed orchestral bits.

Long live TVC. Please bring us a soundtrack!

That answers my one question. What took them so long?

See, I would've loved Capcom forever if they kept the old sprite as an in-joke. Maybe have it as one of her intros?

This isn't the first time they've given her a 3D model, though: http://www.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=158655
