EDIT:
This is a thread to discuss the stealth gem that was Tenchu on Playstation. What I remember liking the most about the game was the access to various items, in particular the blow-up clowns that enemies would attack. What are your memories with this game?

Small talk sidenote:
Shinobido 2
This game is made by the Tenchu team. I've read it's even better than Tenchu!

Not that I'm trying to start a fight, but I'm not sure this is something to brag about.

Tenchu 1 and 2 were big during their time but like many other PS1 games I wonder how they've aged.

After the first two games, didn't the series kind of start a backwards slide into hell? I remember many Tenchu games getting bad reviews and I think part of the reason was the game's license was getting passed around like candy. I think the first few games were made by the Tenchu Team and after that it wasn't the case.

Maybe it's like Crash Bandicoot? If the game's not by Naughty Dog I don't want any part of it.

Tenchu definitely was the best game I played on the PS1. However, now I am confused why I felt the urgency to start a thread about a game for a system I don't own, nor do I suspect anyone else on STC owns... So, with that written and looking at how the thread immediately shifted to Tenchu talk, this is now a Tenchu thread.

Well, Tenchu is still getting mentioned in best ninja games ever made. It was way ahead of its time if you ask me with all the cool stuff you could do and stages you could design.

Tenchu is.... one year shy of being able to buy liquor. Tenchu has aged.... like fine wine.

I don't know enough about the series to answer that, although I have seen one of the later games (Z?) mentioned as being a finely made game in the series.
