When was the first time? I was gonna make a Vert1/Bern comparison.

It was around when Chudah's Corner was still somewhat active, so pretty old stuff. Can't remember the nicks anymore, but he did use the same exact format for selling stuff with few different accounts.

It (or a much worse thing) happened in SEMO, too. Bernhardt was once banned for justifying raping in general (I didn't read the whole discussion and I'm sure it wasn't the sole reason) but returned with different accounts, the first was "Wagner" to insult and accuse site owners of banning him and the second was "Ravenfelt" or whatever to pretend he was a different person and try to have a new life, which eventually failed and he was once again banned for gone.

But whatever. As I said before, I do not call Bernhardt a troll; he's just mentally handicapped. I just ignored him when he was around the forums I visited, as I quickly noticed he wasn't sane.

If I may interject, sounds like a lot of you were just jerks to him, and he got frustrated with being unable to relate to people on account of everyone's super left-wing stances on everything.

As for being pro-rape, I believe you just made that up, or misread something.

As for me, I have no problem smacking a girl if she wants to assault me, humiliate me, or otherwise pick a fight with me, but then again, I'd just assume send her back to her own home before things reach that level.

Then again, I think I've evolved a survival mechanism that prevents troublesome girls from being attracted to me in the first place, or discouraging them when they still happen to be.

Then again, most of the girls who try to flirt with me are ALREADY MARRIED anyway.

The number thirteen has been coming up in my life a lot lately. I think I might end up dead shortly.

Ironic how that, Red XIII, in Final Fantasy VII, actually ends up being one of the experimental subjects who actually SURVIVES. Despite being branded with the number of Death.

Haha, you're not fooling anyone with posts like this, Bern.

Belch or fart really loud. Should clear out any girls within 50 feet at least, if that's a problem.

Then pretend you're James Bond. You are good at pretending, aren't you?

Idolores Aug 16, 2012

man, normally I'd just tune in to Jackass if I wanted to watch someone embarrass themselves.

I have two new favorite foods: jalapeno peppers and bell peppers. My reason is primarily financial. They are nutrient dense and I can stop ordering some of my supplements.

I accidentally got some jalapeno peppers in a chicken caesar wrap, found them bearable, and wondered if there was any point in eating them. It turns out they are extraordinarily healthy, which I had never known. This led me to discover bell peppers as well.

At first, I tried eating whole jalapeno peppers raw. It is possible, but rather painful. I had to either eat some yogurt or drink some milk to neutralize the heat with each bite. I later learned you have to scrape the seeds out first. I can actually eat the raw "shell" of jalapenos without any neutralizing dairy product. Water has little effect, since it just spreads the oils around.

The green bell peppers are too bitter and I love the taste of the yellow ones. And red jalapenos have no heat and are really tasty.

GoldfishX Aug 18, 2012

Really? I didn't know they were rich in nutrients. I have been eating them a lot for years, so yay!

On the topic of supplements, I discovered the wonder of Stinging Nettles. Basically an herb, it is really good for keeping inflammation of the sinuses down during allergy weather (and it has been horrendous this year). It apparently has a number of different upsides and is far better than Sudafed which I was taking for allergies before (Sudafed has weird side effects...basically makes me feel like a zombie if used for more than 2 days). Cheap too...100 caps for $10 or less for the best allergy medicine I've come across yet? Sign me up!

The icon bouncing animation of MacOSX's doc zone is easily one of the best GUI related things I've ever seen. It's so good that I hope it's not patent-protected.

This is one of the most depressing youtube videos I've watched:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DwyyJ3D3g1E

I had known for a while that the movie "Terminator" was based on Harlan Ellison's work, but I didn't know that Cameron stole the idea. It's bothersome that two of the great movies from my childhood (Terminator, Alien) are not original ideas. (Both Cameron and Ridley Scott settled out of court for having stolen the works of others.)

I also recently read a book similar to Jurassic Park, titled "The Parasaurians", which was published in 1969.

And right after that, I read a book similar to Waterworld, titled "Candle in the Sun", published in 1973.

I have an idea. A list needs to be made of science fiction movies that are original, and another list needs to be made of those that either plagiarized or were based on previously written material.

Some of the possible candidates for original science fiction movies are: Moon, District 9, Predator and Pandorum. I can't think of any specific sci-fi story or novel that reminds me of those movies.

Pandorum impressed me far more than I thought it would. I keep forgetting to thank you for the reccommendation.

Damn, next thing you'll be telling me is that the Matrix wasn't an original idea either.

Yes, that is the next thing I'm going to be telling you (perhaps) smile

http://quarkcognition.blogspot.com/2012 … ovies.html

I think he was being sarcastic, Jodo.

Well, I was kind of shocked when I read Smeg's post, because, I did make a blog post on that topic and mentioned the Matrix. I made the post after work. It was just a rough draft and I edited it after waking up. Then I read Smeg's post, which was really strange, because I had just finished adding Matrix to the list.
