Small name-change here, I guess, but not voluntary. When the new forums opened, I got a minor shock when I saw that someone had already registered under my name. I know there's another Daniel on these forums, but I still think it's kind of unfair: I'm the one that has been using this nick on the STC forums the most, by faaaaaar. Damnit.

Anyway, just keep in mind that there are 2 Daniels on this forum, and that I (now "Daniel K") am the guy who posted most of the posts by "Daniel" in the old forum. For reference, I am the one that posted this, and the other Daniel posted that.

Damn annoying, but I hope this helped sort out some confusion. For a while I played with the thought of coming up with a new user-name, but the habit was so strong that I just couldn't, used as I am to posting under this name for all these years.

Actually, I might as well that I used to be J.B. once upon a blue moon. I remember I changed my name because of some stupid thing I did several years ago... but the sad thing is that I can't even remember what that stupid thing was! Chalk it up to late teenage behavior, I guess...

Used to be Strohmie -- got tired of using a nickname that hadn't been current for half a decade.

One of my other interests is horse racing, and Soto was the name of one I liked a few years back.  My name over at Chudah's as well.

Haha, sarcasm...? Anyway, I thought using that would be a little too personal, especially since it's a pretty uncommon name. And as I said before, force of habit was the main reason I stayed with "Daniel".

My fans will understand.

I made up my fictional nick to be able to keep it for myself after my first nick (some comic character) was already taken in some chat room nearly ten years ago... Now I'm starting to find a few others using my nick on google, and I don't have the slightest idea why one would actually want to do so (they aren't cases of copycatting intended to mislead) =/

Hell, I agree with him.  I always think of you more by your last name than your first.  Almost used my own last name (Strohmaier) way back when, but decided that nobody would be able to SPELL it.  Some people couldn't even spell Strohmie.  >_<

I used to post under the name Alex Van Zelfden (hey, that IS my name), but it seemed like a good idea to drop the last name and go with something more generic.  Of course I've only posted half a dozen times (although I've read the forums for years), so there probably isn't any confusion to be had.  But you heard it here first, folks.
