Is this....for realsies? Is one of the greatest of all SNES soundtracks going to get a proper release, with no stuff cut to make room for noisy "3D Arrange Versions"? I mean, this is just amazing, but it's also......who ASKED for this? Are there still people in Japan who know who Neverland is? Who realize that they are stilling hanging in there and trying to make interesting RPGs and are still turning out good music, even if only once every millenium?

Mind boggling.

Three discs....even if the music is looped twice (HOPE HOPE LOVE LOVE DREAM DREAM), and the 3D Arrange Versions are there....that still leaves some room.....

*cross fingers for high quality rock arrangements of the fourth phantom beast theme and battle 3*

Oh, and if you haven't listened to the music before, you MUST do it now:

It's basically Lufia 2 with extra awesome.

Awesome awesome news, the music rocks (much like the game) so everybody check it out.

The official site says the contents of the CDs are:
CD1: arrange(d?) track, "Chaos Seed Yasunori Shiono Self Arrange Version" by Shiono and Takayuki Aihara (not sure if they mean one or several tracks), the four "3D Arrange" tracks from the old, incomplete CS soundtrack, Chaos Seed SFC BGM part 1.
CD2: Chaos Seed SFC BGM part 2, Seed Saturn Chaos BGM part 1.
CD3: Chaos Seed Saturn BGM part 2.

I'm really interested in the Saturn OST (supposedly Yukio Nakajima arranged it). With a bit of luck they'll loop at least the Saturn OST, but anyways non-looping CS music is better than nothing. Interestingly (?) they messed up in the listing, the subtitle for the SS version is wrong. Also, there were 4 arranged tracks in the SS Chaos Seed Omake CD, I wonder if they'll include them too.

BEWARE, the SPC set is missing channels (drums/bass and such) that kills many tracks, so it kind of sucks. Lufia and this came from nowhere, maybe we'll see more Neverland music in the future?

Also check out Energy Breaker. Shiono only did a couple tracks, but it's a fun little SNES RPG score.

Lufia II is still my favorite out of these though. Classic, classic stuff, easily on par with Square stuffs of the time.

I'm over 30 and I'm still going to SQUEEEEEE because I've never heard of this before and now I have a new mission in life!!!

Edit: ARGH rather expensive anywhere I've found it online.  How on earth did I miss this all these years?  I could've easily gotten it any of the time I've been in Japan since then.  Life needs more Shiono music...
