We're getting steadily closer to the end of the year.. What are your favorite OST/arrange releases so far? I went through VGMdb's database for releases from 2015 and collected all albums that had four ratings or more into two lists. Does this match up with your vision of the standings?

So far, of the 2015 albums I've bought, I will be looking at these to decide my favorites. I've already removed the ones I've sold or have placed on my sale list. As of now, I am certainly going to rank one of the Etrian Odyssey albums at #1. The Gamadelic Reboot or Hiro's 30th will probably be #2.

I'm currently listening to OBOROMURAMASA GENROKUKAIKITAN ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK BSPE-1054~5, and, based on the first few tracks, the rankings are going to change. I still need to listen to Metal Saga ~Kouya no Hakobune~ Original Soundtrack and 7th Dragon III code:VFD Original Soundtrack & Songs. I have been listening to Dragon's Crown, but I don't see it making the top 10.

While those are 2015 releases, they can easily push out brand new music, which skews the data. I'd rather if my top ten from 2015 showed new compositions and arrangements for the year.

Sadly 2015 was the least involved I've been in VGM since the site "reboot" in 2008, but of the very few albums I've heard this year here are a few I can vouch for.

Ori and the Blind Forest OST - Beautiful, earthy new-age music. Reminds me of Dust: An Elysian Tail in places and Avatar in others.

Final Symphony - The ambitious orchestral arrangements of FFVI, FFVII and FFX take quite a few chances, and though I find they don't all pay off to the level of Symphonic Fantasies, there's still no shortage of must-hear moments.

Bra-Bra Final Fantasy: Brass de Bravo - I'm not sure if the album as a whole is solid enough to put on a top-ten list, but there are enough smartly-arranged, nostalgia-inducing renditions of classic FF themes to make it worth consideration.

It was a slow year in general here for VGM discussion in 2015, so if any of you have favorites from the year that never received attention or deserve reiteration I would love to see your picks!

I did a tiny thing on OSV with my fav OST and fav arrange, with runner-ups for each. So that was just 2+2.

(they were Dropsy, Corpse Party: songs of the dead, LoM Promise, and CT/CC)
