Does anyone know if someone has come up with a way to de-region an xbox360 yet?  This whole living in Japan and still prefering English games thing is totally screwing with my ability to play all the games I want to play without spending a ridiculous amount on hardware (thank heaven for the DS being region free...).

Out of curiosity, what U.S.-released X360 games do you want to play?  I really wanted to get a 360 and PDZ back when the thing first came out, but I was [luckily] unable to get one and after the buzz died down and every single person said that PDZ sucked, I've more or less completely lost interest in the system, though I think XBLA is cool.

I dont think you can remove region restrictions, you would have to for the time being order US 360 but that would you run some extra $, as for Perfect Dark Zero - game is amazing, it doesnt suck by any means, its an extremely polished game(with very few letdowns), but still - a must have title and one of the best fps of all time.

If you have BA's in computer science and electrical engineering, I'm sure you could get around by reverse engineering and tweaking the 360's hardware after a lot of work.  But I'm sure the modders are already at work on this.  And probably best to wait until some places offer warrantied installation, next-gen consoles being as expensive as they are.
