Know what the worst part was?  It actually got erased because I finally picked up another Sony 8MB Memory Card to back up my most important files.  I don't know why it happened, but when I formatted the new card in slot 2, it automatically deleted everything that was on the old card in slot 1.  So, in the very process of creating insurance, well..... I pretty much got screwed.

That's my irony story for the year.

There is no pain greater for a gamer than losing lost saves!

I do the same thing you do Angela, I keep *ALL* of my saved game files.  I don't erase anything.  Sorry that had to happen to you...  -_;

Wow, that really sucks.  Thanks for the warning, though.  I'll make sure I remove my old cards before formatting any new cards.

Great job!  At this point, I've got a long, long way to go; due to an unfortunate incident with my memory card, my main Okami save file (of which I had about twenty hours locked in) had been erased -- along with the rest of my five years worth of PS2 save files.   I was crushed.  -_-;

Ouch.  How strange that copying files from one memory card to the other would cause this problem.  Sounds like the PS2 firmware is screwed up.

I guess that's why people put save games on gamefaqs, but it won't help if the save file has some personalized information on it (like a character's name you chose).
