Forget Christmas, late October is the happiest time of the year thanks to TRU's money-saving promotion. I tend to use it to catch up on the past year of releases, so this time I'm thinking New Super Mario Bros., Super Princess Peach, and Touch Detective (if TRU actually carries it). However, I'm almost certain the first two games will eventually be released as greatest hits titles, so I may opt for other titles based on availability.

My only nitpick with the deal is that it always seems to come right before the games I really want are released. If they had only waited 2 or so weeks I could've scored Final Fantasy III and Okami, plus some other $40 game. I may still try to pick up Okami, but I want to maximize my savings and can't really think of two other $40 games that I want.

Bah, too late for me---I've bought a lot of stuff in the last couple of weeks that there's nothing out now that I want.  I wish they'd have had this around 11/9 or especially 11/19.

EB/Gamestop are currently doing something similar - buy 2, get 1 free on used games.

I picked up Xenosaga 3, Shadow Hearts: From the New World and Generation of Chaos (I know, I know) yesterday.   Saving 5 bucks on each game from them being used (does anyone remember when EBStop charged less for used games? oh well), then an additional 10% from my silly club card, then getting GoC free was pretty cool.  Caught me up a little bit on some of the games I've missed lately.  Ah, more for the backlog.
