As promised, here be the long-awaited recording of the "Hoist The Colours" end credits theme.  (It was certainly long-awaited for me, in any case.  ^_^)  Twelve minutes and thirty seconds long, I bookended it with the CD version of "Drink Up Me Hearties" - and at the same time, I also lifted an excerpt of the ending theme of Pirates 1, placing it just before Drink Up; it's not exactly the same, but a very similar excerpt is used during the final sequences in Pirates 3 as heard in film.  It just felt more complete musically to have it in there.  And yes, I kept the epilogue coda in as well:

As for the DVD, I only checked out the music-making featurette so far.  I didn't know it was Verbinski himself who played the guitar portion in "Parlay."  Neat.

Made an in-film recording of that incredible cue that Zimmer made mention in his podcast interview.  Dubbed it "Part of the Ship, Part of the Crew," which is the scene toward the ending where Will dies and Jack saves Elizabeth from the sinking Flying Dutchman

There's a five-disc Pirates Of The Caribbean: Soundtrack Treasures Collection set announced for December 4th.  Don't get too excited; it's just the three previously-released CDs repackaged, with a new remix CD and a making-of DVD.

I stand (somewhat) corrected.  There are actually some really nice unreleased suites that make up the rest of the remix CD, including the Hoist The Colours end credits, a Pirates 1 arrangement (which features the very first recording that Zimmer wrote for the series), and a wonderfully-lengthy suite of the AWE Love Theme, dubbed "Marry Me." (It contains excerpts of the aforementioned "Part of The Ship, Part of the Crew" cue, the original recording of "Up Is Down" and its variation in "Drink Up Me Hearties"):

---

1. Pirates, Day One, 4:56AM (3:46)
2. Marry Me (11:37)
3. The Heart of Davey Jones (3:14)
4. Lord Cutler Beckett (8:47)
5. Jack's Theme Bare Bones Demo (4:05)
6. Hoist the Colours Suite (5:43)
7. The Pirate Lord of Singapore (5:58)
8. Just Good Business (5:56)

---

Bloodrage_de from the FF Shrine Forums was kind enough to upload the suites in an mp3 zip, so you won't have to break the bank on the Treasures Collection just to give them a listen.  It's a Sendspace upload, though, so I'm not sure how long it'll be up for:
