Whoa, so this is going to be like a full-length version of the Bowser SMB scenario from The Thousand Year Door?  I'm all over this.

Screens look sweet.  Thanks for the links, Ryu.

Edit: I just watched the Super Paper Mario video that Datschge (sp?) linked in another thread.  Holy shit does it look sweet.

Didn't think Nintendo had it in 'em anymore...They're putting on a helluva show (though they're getting help from their competition). Nice to finally see some 2D love on the GC.

Speaking of which...Anything on the GC Kirby game?

Ryu May 9, 2006

I'm wager Kirby GC has been canned in favor of Kirby DS and most likely a Kirby Wii.  The two above and the superfluous Gamecube version of Twilight Princess are probably Nintendo's last Gamecube titles.  Anyone think otherwise?

Agreed on all counts. Two days ago I was "sure" that Sony would wow the competition and have some awesome stuff to show for themselves, but after hearing about their price and what's up with the PS3 I could give two shits less.

So, yeah. Super Paper Mario looks absolutely ridiculous on all accounts. Can't wait for it.

Bongo Blast could be a promising premise as well; or maybe I just want it to be, since lord knows my bongos are sitting on the shelf, collecting that stuff that appears when it's not been in use for a while.

The two most likely possibilities are that (a) Kirby GC is not a priority title for this show (look how much stuff Nintendo skipped in the press conference as it is) or (b) it's going to Wii.  I doubt Kirby DS has anything to do with the GC game.  Remember, Kirby's pretty popular in Japan, so I'd say the game will probably resurface in some form, be it NGC or Wii.  Which is more likely?  After seeing Nintendo announce two versions of Twilight Princess today, I'm not even going to try to guess. :-)

I must admit I didnt love Thousand Year Door, but damn, does this game look dope.

By the way I dreamt about Mario last night....*damn I feel like a nerd saying this*....I was at this Revolution Premiere with a friend, and I got a shot at the 'new Mario'. It totally rocked my socks off. It had that same feeling of playing Mario 64 for the first time. Haha, I say it's a good omen for the Big N!

Gotta love the wacky equations in the background.

I recognize most of the mathematical symbols.  Too bad I don't know what the value of "mushroom, square, and circle" are. heh
