<----- See what I did to my avatar there?  White blood cells are TEH ROXORS.

That avatar certainly fits your spirited personality much more than the previous nurse avatar.  Keep it. :-)

Just like my tribulations in DDR, I seem to have better performance in songs with faster tempos.  Believe was incredible slow, so I kept missing out on Elite Beats.

This game demands practice.  I couldn't pass JJF on Breezin' for 5 tries.  The spinners in the third segment really got me.  I can't spin these dang things fast enough!

I've never heard of JJF, but it fits its scenario well enough.

I have only unlocked 1 of the 3 bonus scenarios.  I need to go to harder difficulties to get more points.

And what the heck is a eighth and sixteenth note in this game?  4+ overlapping hit markers?

One thing I noticed about the spinners in Ouendan...I can do them much faster one way than the other.  When I started playing the game, I would try to spin them all clockwise with my right hand, and would usually miss them.  Later, I tried doing it counter-clockwise, and was MUCH better at it.  I also found it a lot easier to use an eccentric elliptical motion than a circular motion.

That incident kind of reminds me of when I tried to learn how to use chopsticks.  I kept having problems, dropping food in my lap and others' laps.  This continued for about a year, until one day I tried holding the chopsticks with my right hand.  Problem solved immediately.

You know...I just tried this counter-clockwise technique for JJF on normal, and it helped me out a lot.

But I still screwed up the last section of that song....that was brutal...

Anyone unlocked Kahn yet?  His Divas-mimicked booty shaking is deliciously disturbing.  They should've outfitted him with the tropical shirt, though.  Seriously.

I've shuffled my favorites a bit.  In addition to having the best scenario, "Survivor" is undoubtedly my new favorite song to play.  I'm just two 300 hit markers shy of completely perfect-attacking it on Hard Rock mode.

In answer to Angela's question in the Wii thread - yep, I got EBA. I love it. More than I even thought I would.

I love Ouendan and EBA looked great but I was a little concerned by the tracklist. But, when I began playing it, it struck me just how close many of the tracks are in style to the original game. I mean, you could stick japanese lyrics onto that first track and nobody would know the difference. The only one that makes me want to tear my face off is the Cher song.

I haven't played it as much as I should and I'm only just at the end of the 'hard' difficulty level. Overall, I'm amazed at how well it carried over into English and I love that some of the little stories (like the dead person one) mirror the ones in the JP version without simply translating what was there originally. And it's great to see the little cameos in there too. It's almost like they designed this game with people who imported the original in mind.

Aside from that, I love some of the new patterns, love the track-specific dance moves and the overall presentation is lovely. Yep, I'm a fan.

I was apprehensive about getting EBA after I saw this, but a kind angel(a) was gracious enough to give me the gift of EBA this Christmas and I'm hooked! I've played and beaten everything up to, but not including, "Let's Dance" and "The Anthem" on Hard Rockin' in a glorious marathon of gaming this past weekend.

Those eighth and sixteenth notes are maddening.

In the past, I've always had trouble with fractional beats (damn you, Rhythm Tengoku monkeys!). However, I've found that I'm not having too much trouble with them in EBA because of the more accurate control afforded by the stylus. There's certainly no way I could have gotten this far using my thumbs alone.

That said, those nasty beats at the beginning of "Let's Dance" on Sweatin' usually result in me tapping the screen randomly and hoping for the best. The beginning of "Canned Heat" on Sweatin' took a little getting used to, but once I got the pattern down I could do it flawlessly. In fact, I found it even easier on Hard Rockin', because the markers appear right when you should hit them, instead of all at the same time. I haven't tried "Let's Dance" with the Divas yet, but I imagine it won't be pretty.

Same here. Hard Rockin' was intimidating at first, but once I got used to the faster speed it was hard to go back to Breezin'. I felt like I was waiting an eternity for those circles to hit the markers.

My problem has been with my shoulder. It hurt like hell after 3 hours of trying JJF on Sweatin'. I can't wait to relive that nightmare on Hard Rockin'.

"The Anthem" is my favorite to play for now, with "Material Girl" a close second. Maybe it's because I have the patterns burned into my brain now, but I also enjoy "Jumpin' Jack Flash" a great deal. In terms of scenario, I'm a sucker for the sappiness of "The Inspiration." And, despite it being a blatant rip-off of a final scenario from a certain other rhythm game, I loved the togetherness of JJF.

So, I loved every bit of EBA and I'm very much considering getting Ouendan. Are there any significant gameplay differences I should be aware of, aside from the ones already mentioned? I've read that the spinners were more difficult in Ouendan, but by how much?
