For a button-mashing adventure, this one's pretty difficult. (Yes, I know it's not pure button mashing, considering most of your enemies have shields and can thus block your attacks, but that's what I found myself doing while playing this game.)

So, a question: Just HOW in god's name do you use the Power of the Gods?! Whatever I've found online says to hold the trigger button (I'm playing the Xbox version) when your meter is full. I've tried doing that, tried using BOTH triggers, and nothing happens. Do you have to be wielding a special weapon to use it?

You'd think something like that would be in the instruction manual.  I've not played it yet even though it did interest me when first announced.  Sorry I can't be much help.

Yeah, the instructions are real helpful on this -- it *does* say to "pull and hold" the R button for a "power up," and I had to put two and two together to figure out that they were talking about the Power of the Gods. Either way, it didn't work.

Thanks...actually, we finally figured it out. You can't use Power of the Gods for the default weapon...you have to switch to some other weapon. Which kind of sucks, but, well. ^_~

So are you one of those that keep playing a game even if you hate it or do you yet recommend it, Schala?

*LOL* Well, I do have my limits. I managed to get through quite a bit of Broken Sword's flaws for the Xbox before I finally hit a point that made me throw down the controller in utter frustration and immediately get rid of the game. In short: No, I don't recommend Spartan, unless you're really darn good at preserving your HP in the midst of swarms of enemies.
