I'm kinda new to the doujin scene, and was looking at this King's Field arrange album by GYROMIX:

Would anyone know how one would go about buying this?  I don't even see a purchase link, and a search for the catalogue number turns up almost no results.  Is it likely only available at conventions?

Yeah. That’s what イベント頒布のみ means.

King’s Field is easily among my favorite game series of all time (II was exceptional, followed by IV or III) and had some good music. Even considering such, though, I'm surprised to know it got a doujin album release in 2008, but still, the fact only 20 copies seems to have ever been printed means something tongue

Ah, snap.  20 copies.  Means I'll never get one.  =/

Yeah, I just wrote a review for King's Field for our Soundtrack of the Month, and was looking up the cover art and saw this release from May!  I'd love to have it, as I'm a huge fan of the series and the music.  Never played the original Japanese title though.  I'd like to.

As a side note, as a fan of the series, did you ever check out Diadem of Manstraut?  Some game somebody made with the Sword of Moonlight game builder, and it's actually pretty awesome.  The guy who made it even composed an original soundtrack for it that's quite good.  I'm about half way through the game, just need to find the time to finish it.

Next time you're at a convention, perhaps you can look around for it?  I'll even buy you a copy if they have two available.  wink

Not yet. For some reason, I tend not to care about user-designed levels, as in Tomb Raider sad, and haven't enjoyed any KF-like game since Shadow Tower (I tried Oblivion two years ago, but that wasn't just my thing).

Um, I have never been there (not that I don't want to go, it's a matter of motivation), and it doesn't come off as something he'll stock next year. Perhaps you should ask him if there's any way to get it physically or digitally. His reference to VGMdb might be a sign of a favor to you.
