As far as I can tell, little-to-none of the soundtrack is original.
It's all taken from classic music. In particular, I know they use music from the opera Carmen by Bizet. I think they also use music from Verdi, and another piece by... his name escapes me now, but I'll think of it later. Anyway, my suggestion is to listen to classical music smile

I know alot of it isn't original but I really enjoy the renditions of the masterpieces in the game. I like the little touches and changes that Yutaka Minobe adds to certain pieces. One of my favorites is his arrangement of Rhapsody in Blue during the broadcaster battle. I hope they make a soundtrack!!

I thought I read that Yoko Shimomura did a few arrangements (there's an 18 minute 'promo' flaoting around of it) and the rest was original by someone else.

The classical rearranges of songs in Mad Maestro are excellent, too. smile

I think I remember an interview with the devs in which it was stated that she only did one track (two at most?)... Bolero, I believe.

Yeah that's the piece whose name I had forgotten! Ravel's Bolero. I know that's in LKS.
So pretty much, as far as I can tell, the game uses very well known classical pieces. Hey, that's not a bad thing at all...
