Aww, no automated birthday greeting feature thingy on the new forums? ;)

Have a happy, dude.  You rock on with your brand-spankin' new '25' status.

I turn 26 in April myself.  How's about the rest of you?  What age will you be this year?

SonicPanda Jan 25, 2006

Ah, thanks much.

Got cash for my birthday, so I spoiled myself with Ape Escape 3 and Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition. Getting the latter was amusing because I asked the checkout guy if it was in.

'No, later in the week. Friday, maybe.'

At this point, I go off to secure AE3 and maybe X Collection. He apparently calls his boss and the following conversation (or the half I could hear) went as such:

'Yeah, on that Devil May Cry, you should just tell 'em to ship it it overnight. We have a lot of guys asking for it...well, it WOULD be...uh? We did? Oh. OK, then' Click.

'Sir? We actually do have some copies in.'

So I got the very first copy of SE here in New Bedford, and apparently the only copy of AE3 on sale at that branch. So yeah, good birthday all around. Thanks again for the salutations, and after tonight I should be quite interested in those recordings you made.

Cheers!

Happy BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIRTHDAY!

Yay for cash! Yay for games! Yay for 25! (I'm 25 too)

BAMAToNE Jan 25, 2006

Hooray for 25 year olds! (Me too.)

Happy bday, dude.

Homan Jan 25, 2006

Happy birthday Mister SP ^^

Or better yet, Herzliche Glückwünsche zum Geburtstag!  (I'm only in German II, so that's the best I can do.)  And since Angela asks, I turn 27 on Sunday -- gee I feel old.  Fortunately Mozart turns 250 on Friday, so my birthday doesn't seem so bad in contrast.  Good old Mozart!

GoldfishX Jan 25, 2006

Happy 25th. You're two months, two weeks and two days in front of me (April 11).

Come to think of it...I actually forgot if I was 23, 24, or 25 this past year. They all kind of blurred together. I actually had to type in '1981' minus the current year a few times recently...

Dragon God Jan 25, 2006

I'll be turning 28 this sunday (Jan 29th)

It's crazy how time flies... since I've bought my first VGM album at 20, I've been into the hobby for 8 years now, and thankfully, I have no reason to stop since there is a steady supply of interesting albums coming smile

And Happy Bday, SonicPanda ! big_smile

Kenology Jan 25, 2006

Happy b-day, SP...  I'll hit the quarter century too in a couple'a months...

Amazingu Jan 26, 2006

Happy Birthday SP!

How does it feel to be a quarter of a century old? wink

@Angela: I'm 26 now, turning 27 on July 31st.

Incidentally, yesterday was a very joyous day for me too, since I was told by the Japanese Embassy over here that I've been granted a 2 year scholarship for research in Osaka, Japan! Wahoo!

Schala Jan 26, 2006

Ditto...happy bday ^_^

SonicPanda Jan 26, 2006

Thanks everyone!

Truth be told, turning 25 didn't really seem like a big deal in itself. It probably matters more to those who keep track of demographics than it does me.

I'm loving the games so far, though I'm considering restarting AE3 as the girl, as Kei's design annoys me for some reason. Wouldn't be the first time (no way in HELL was I using the male character in Legend of Mana).

But that's neither here nor there. It was fun, and finding so many well-wishes was a nice surprise. Thanks again.

Panda, congrats on turning a quarter of a century old! I'm 1/3 of a century myself smile

Qui-Gon Joe Jan 26, 2006

Seems a lot of us are 25 here.  I was very sad because it means I've reached the milestone of no longer being in the 18-24 bracket on surveys.  Anyway, happy birthday!

Carl Jan 27, 2006

Happy Birthdays and drinks all around!
*cheers*

Playing as Yumi is worth it for the scene with Monkey Yellow. ^_^  (And yes, I'm asking the same question.... why did they reverse the names that way for the FM-5?  I'm guessing it was a literal translation, since it seems a lot of the monkey names are straight translations.  As a result, they're not nearly as pun-filled as AE2, and, well.... certainly not as fun.)

And Amazingu, congrats on the scholarship!  When will you be starting your research?

Heheh. Thanks!
I'll be going to Osaka in April, don't know the exact date yet, but it should be in the first week or something. When I will be actually STARTING my research is a whole other story entirely wink

Timt99 Jan 28, 2006

Happy birthday SonicP, sorry for being a few days late, heh.

Jousto Mar 5, 2006

Very, very late congratulations, SonicPanda (or even more early congrats for the next year) XP

I only meant to answer Angela's "poll". It seems to be some kind of a standard age here, but I'm 25 now, too. To reach 26, I'll have to wait until November. I feel old, but fortunately, I don't look like it. You could easily mistake me for a 21-year-old guy. I guess that's just a good thing, though.

Schala Mar 6, 2006

Late happy birthday, as well. ^_^ I turn...hmm, 29 this year.
