Did anyone get this yet? What are your feelings on this album?  I'm trying to decide if I should order this or not. >.<

Thanks.

It's pretty badass. If you have reservations after hearing the OST and reading opinions of it, don't worry about it. The arrange album concentrates what most people seem to have been hoping for in one place. The arrangements don't stray very far - now that Sakuraba is recording live music to stream rather than programming sequences, more of the arrangement is just adding improv sections to pieces and such. There isn't much radical reinterpretation here, it's more like a compilation album with "enhancements".

Thanks for your input.

That's good to hear.  It sounds like his previous arranges with Valkyrie Profile Arrange and Start Ocean The Second Story, both of which I enjoyed immensely.

I, too, recommend the arrange album. It seems to be more solid than the OST (well, obviously), and is quite enjoyable on the whole. In my book, it might actually turn out to be the best Sakuraba arrange album to date.

Good news indeed. As I noted in the VP OST thread, my reservations against the original music gradually faded the more I listened to it. So I'm pleased that the Arrange Album is getting good word.

...and it IS an improvement over SO3's Arrange Album, right?

Sure, no doubt about it. Although, it would be hard not be an improvement, but still.
