Anyone remember the ending theme to Vantage Master for Win 95?  The one that got replaced in the later version?  (Benny, I'm sure you do, if you're still out there ^^)  There's an awesome arrangement of it by jdk Band (the NEW jdk Band) in the demo movie for Falcom's upcoming Vantage Master Portable for PSP.  Check it out:

Also, I wish they'd get back to making new PC games, though I gather from the comments of others that I'm pretty much alone in that.

I like the music...Definitely consistent with the recent Ys' releases (Felghana and Origins)...It really is criminal a PSP and PS2 port of those games have NOT been done yet. 

Who does one have to slay?  what is the purchase price of a such a license?

I can just see how a failed attempt at acquiring the treasured port license for a quality Falcom title..

Yes, I'm a little bitter at the lack of domestic Falcom represenatation.

BTW: I tried playing 'Legent of heroes' for PSP.  After an hour of playing, with the same retarded music theme in the background, I gave up....perhaps the lacking soundtrack  has something to do with my 'copy' of LOH.

I'm not sure which one you're talking about, but while LoH 3 and 5 (I think those were 2 and 3 in the US) had pretty good soundtracks, they weren't used very well in the game. Most of the really good themes were used once, while the field and town themes that you hear all the time are fairly mediocre. LoH 4 was much better in this respect.
