Hey, I thought I would mention that I've started a Kickstarter project on videogame music. Some preliminary details have been posted, which will be updated with more trailers and DVD excerpts pretty soon.

This sounds very interesting indeed! I'll definitely donate, but don't know how much yet Never heard of Kickstarter before, but I like the idea of donations going through only if the specified sum is reached. Good luck with this project and future projects. You seem to be doing something I could imagine dreaming of!
There are various independent games and soundtrack albums that have been created through Kickstarter. I think it has the potential to be an interesting fundraising mechanism, especially for experimental and niche projects.
Being a noob to how Kickstarter works, here's some details from FAQ page:
Q: My card is only charged if funding succeeds?
A: Yes! That's part of what makes Kickstarter special. If a project isn't fully funded, no one pays anything.
Q: When is my credit card charged?
A: If this project is fully funded on Saturday Dec 18, 8:30pm EST your credit card will be charged along with all the other backers of this project.
Q: Is pledging with my credit card safe?
A: Amazon is a highly trusted e-commerce provider with top-tier security. Amazon is the only party that sees and stores your credit card info.
So if I donate $150 you'd actually credit me by name? That would be the day...
EDIT -- to clarify, "that would be the day" isn't a reference to the donation. I'm actually sincerely interested in donating and I hope the project comes to pass.
I'm just skeptical that if I met the $150 donation, sir Jeriaska would make good on his promise to credit me or any organization I name.
With confirmation that such would take place, I'd see what I could do to scrounge up the funds.
Donated enough to grab some DVDs. I also spread the message a bit. I sincerely hope you get the necessary funding in time!
Funding was successfully completed. Thanks everyone!
