This may be a strange topic given what year it is, but does anyone here dabble in vinyl?

My friend got me into this last year and I just bought the last few components for my set-up.

I kind of had to do that as I had already bought some records... so I had to justify buying them.

It's kind of funny though... my friend got me into buying vinyl and I got him into buy hard copies of video games. Before we met he was buying everything digitally. Kind of switched hobbies there... funny how that happens.

I managed to obtain some more records since I last posted. I really like collecting records... I just wish some of the stuff I wanted was more common! Some of those prices... ouch!

Despite being born in the early 80's I'm really a 90's kid through and through and that's the era where they were trying to kill off the format so albums weren't pressed in large numbers.

90's releases can be separated into two categories:

1) Really rare because they were pressed in small numbers and haven't been repressed

2) Insanely common because they're popular albums that have been repressed and are easy to obtain... but are now on two LPs and higher quality because of that

Anyway, given how the format works (e.g. you can't skip around like you can on a CD) I've been trying to obtain albums where all the tracks a good and there is no need to skip around.

I was kind of happy when I closed the book on collecting retro video games because the market is just insane anymore... but I just basically replaced one expensive hobby with another ;P
